|Hi John...First of all congrats on your awesome new album. Great to hear that you have settled into Melbournian life so well, BUT WE MISS YOU ON THE GOLD COAST! My wife and I have both been big fans all our rock 'n roll lives (and collectively that's more years than we'd like to admit to!)...and we have never missed any of your gigs on the Coast. We were 'front row centre' both nights of the Brisbane Countdown concert...for us you stole the show each night...and thanks for dragging me up for a few lines of 'If I Were a Carpenter'...I will never forget it...although my missus suggested that I should really leave the singing to you in future! Speaking of which, when are you coming back up this way again to perform (at Twin Towns or Seagulls or wherever)? Listening to all your CDs including the newy is fine but just not the same. So, if you haven't already considered a 'working trip' back up on the Coast to see all your fans, then please do so. We miss ya'. Keep us posted. Good luck with the new gig at the Monash...lucky buggers...hope they appreciate what they've got...and here's hoping that you can crack some decent airplay with the new album...don't radio and live television programmers have any taste anymore...and we're with you, bring back 'Hey Hey' with Darryl on Saturday nights and give up-and-coming aussie bands some exposure before we force them to go overseas to try and make a quid! Take good care of yourself ol' son and the beautiful Virginia...and keep an eye on Jimmy for us. See ya back on the Coast soon (hopefully). Kindest regards, Graeme and Paddy...Swanee rules!|

Caught up with Jim and family in Swan Hill.
Wonderful to see Jim and on stage together with his family.Rekindled lots of old memories.Asked Jim how you were.he said you were extermely well and playing gigs. When I get to Melbourne I would love to see you play again and recall the old Largs days.
Heard you singing recently on a program and thought your voice was as good as ever.
Love Elaine (Lady Largs)

Just wanted to say thanks for last night at the Monash Hotel.
I will be there next Friday night - I cannot believe there is no charge to see you and your band.
Hopefully more Melbourne people will come along next Friday night.
For those who don't know the Monash Hotel is on Princess Highway in Clayton just before Blackburn Road.
Your voice is sounding better than ever.

|Hiya John, speaking to Graham & Gary tonight about going to Newcastle to catch you & catch up with you. It seems to indicate on your site that the gig was on June 2. Have we missed it? Keep the faith brother, your mate Rod. |

heard u on the john feaine show. being 49 i remember u from the countdown days of the 70s.your new music sounds good and i always loved yor version of led zeps rocknroll and the party boy days. i was interested in the things u talked about especially alcohol. i am struggling to give it up, 6 weeks this time, but find it tough to focus on the positives like waking up and not needing to go to the fridge for a beer. rather i think about being civilized with a glass of pinot, which i know is only the beginning to a dirty end. like jimmy i am a golf addict, hope he is still able to have a hit eventhough unwell. anyway good luck with the album, u have plenty of fans out there.cheers gav

I've been a fan all my life. On the 24th November 1981 you played at 2jjj in Sydney with those awesome guitarists John Fraser & John Cook. (the cookie monster!!!). This gig was broadcast by 2jjj and was sensational!. I have an audio copy of this gig, which I've enjoyed for many, many years and still do!. It's about time you had it, as no one else does. Next time you're in Sydney please make contact via email. It would be great to meet you, and deliver it personally. The set list was 'Ol Rosie / Enough To Last A Lifetime / Days Gone By / Tough At The Top / Beware Of The Animal / Where Are You Now / Samantha / Wild World / Sweet Home Alabama / Ginnee
